We've had a strong relationship with RWTH Aachen from the very start. Our network has expanded considerably since then, and we're happy to now have a diverse group of partners. We firmly believe that together we can achieve more.

UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS

  • The RWTH Campus encourages open communication and close cooperation between the business and scientific communities. As a digital company, we love being a part of Engineering Valley and collaborating with the institutions and companies there.

  • The IBB Westfalen (Institute for construction operation and the construction industry) is an affiliated institute of the Münster University of Applied Sciences. Their main function is to stimulate the transfer of knowledge and technology between universities and industry. Our collaboration is based on a lively exchange of our practical experience and IBB's knowledge from research and teaching.

  • During Project Intercom, Formitas teamed up with the Cologne University of Applied Sciences to develop a prototype for a collaboration and learning platform. The idea was to improve collaboration between planners in the office and the university within an open BIM process. The focus: a component-based chat allowing for flexible communication for everyone involved.

    GAMMA

    GAMMA was created and founded by formitas employees and is designed to help construction companies monitor and manage projects with augmented reality. The innovative tool allows site managers to bring BIM models to the construction site and prevent errors by visualizing 3D models on top of reality.

    CP Bauteam

    Our sister company CP Bauteam GmbH (founded in 1987) plans and implements large-scale, complex projects for manufacturers and clients in the Life Science industry. Project success rates are high thanks to an efficient process in which a network of experienced construction team partners is integrated. Services range from concept development to turnkey construction. It’s an agile Design & Build model comprised of project and process management, true to CP Bauteam’s conviction that teams which pursue a common goal are more successful. The bottom line: providing clients with solutions to meet the challenges of increasingly complex construction projects with ambitious deadlines and budgets.

    formitas is an active founding member of the initiative with a total of twelve members from Aachen, Bonn, Cologne and Dusseldorf.

  • Aachen Building Experts

    The AACHEN BUILDING EXPERTS association brings together players in the construction industry who offer their expertise and interdisciplinary, cross-sector services. formitas and the Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce are founding members and actively structure the focus topics and activities. The association will focus greater attention on Building Information Modeling in the future, as the BIM competence center, founded by formitas in 2013, became a part of Aachen Building Experts in 2020.

  • Bauakademie Gruppe Berlin

    Since its foundation in 1990, the BAUAKADEMIE has provided interdisciplinary competence in the areas of engineering, construction and real estate, business management and computer science. The academy, which is located in the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, is especially practically oriented and prides itself in being independent, neutral and innovation-driven.
